Your needs, this model
Does it fit your priorities?
Can ACCENTUM Wireless keep a phone and laptop connected at the same time?
The manual says it reconnects to the last two connected Bluetooth devices, stores up to six paired profiles, and plays audio from only one device at a time. That supports switching, not mixing. The USB-C computer route is separate from Bluetooth multipoint.
Explore this need in the finder →How should I interpret the 50-hour ANC-on figure?
Sennheiser lists up to 50 hours of Bluetooth music with ANC enabled, under its stated iPhone-at-medium-volume test condition. Treat it as a manufacturer maximum, not a guaranteed trip runtime; volume, calls, codec, settings, environment and battery age can change actual endurance.
Explore this need in the finder →Can I use the standard ACCENTUM Wireless over a 3.5 mm cable with the battery empty?
No such analog input or 3.5 mm cable is documented for this model. Its manual does describe USB-C audio streaming from a compatible computer, but that digital route is not a passive analog fallback. Check the source port and exact model if a wired connection is essential.
Explore this need in the finder →The standard ACCENTUM Wireless is a relatively straightforward over-ear ANC model with one less-obvious extra: its USB-C socket can carry audio from a compatible computer, although the package does not include a 3.5 mm analog cable or document a 3.5 mm headset input. Its strongest published headline is up to 50 hours of Bluetooth music with ANC enabled. That is a manufacturer rating under a stated test setup, not a guarantee for a particular commute or a measurement of noise reduction. This review assesses the Black U.S. SKU 700174 from manufacturer documentation; it is not a hands-on test.
Identify the exact ACCENTUM version
The U.S. listing identifies Black as item 700174 and White as 700175. The manufacturer store also shows Blue (700381) and Taupe (800145) finish variants. Those are finish choices within the standard ACCENTUM Wireless family, not separate feature assessments here. Certified-refurbished listings are different retail offers: the U.S. page identifies Black B700174, Blue B700381, Taupe B800145 and White B700175. Sennheiser describes refurbished products as inspected, supplied with the listed accessories and backed by a one-year manufacturer warranty. Check the condition label, exact finish, current box contents and return terms on the offer you intend to buy; a product photo does not show refurbishment condition.
Do not confuse this model with ACCENTUM Plus Wireless or ACCENTUM Wireless SE. The Plus adds documented controls and wired features; SE is a separately listed bundle with a BTD 600 adapter. The standard model's assessment does not borrow those features simply because the names are close.
Bluetooth switching and the 50-hour figure
Sennheiser's manual says ACCENTUM Wireless tries to reconnect to its last two Bluetooth devices when switched on, can store as many as six paired-device profiles, and plays audio from one source at a time. For a phone-and-computer routine, that is useful switching capacity, not a mixer: two connections do not mean both streams play simultaneously. Host behavior and the active source still matter.
The official support specification lists Bluetooth 5.2, SBC, AAC, aptX and aptX HD codecs, hybrid ANC, two microphones, and up to 50 hours of music playback over Bluetooth with ANC on. Sennheiser states an iPhone at medium volume as its test condition. It also lists approximately three hours to charge fully and up to five hours of playback after a ten-minute charge. These figures describe the maker's test and charge claims; volume, codec, settings, calls, temperature, battery age and other use can change actual time. There is no independent endurance or attenuation result in this source-led assessment.
Wired listening is USB-C, not analog
The included cable is USB-C to USB-A, and the manual labels the headphone's USB-C socket for charging, calls and PC/Mac streaming. It also explains direct audio playback through the supplied USB cable and says the connected computer or mobile device can select the headset as its audio output. That makes a compatible USB host a documented digital route. It is different from a 3.5 mm analog input: the manual's package list and product overview do not document an analog audio jack or analog lead. If your source only offers a headphone jack—or you want a battery-depleted passive cable fallback—do not assume the charging port or included USB cable provides that arrangement.
The product page lists around-ear construction, a 222 g product weight and an app with modes and a five-band equalizer. Those details help frame what the product is, but they cannot establish whether its clamp, ear space or ANC suits a specific person. Fit and real-world noise control remain personal questions to verify through a return policy or in-person try-on where possible.
Where it sits beside the Plus and SE
ACCENTUM Plus Wireless shares the family headline of a 50-hour ANC-on Bluetooth rating and two-device switching, but its manual documents a 2.5 mm analog input, a supplied 3.5-to-2.5 mm cable, USB-C PC/Mac audio, a carry case, touch controls and Smart Pause. Its cable also has a documented battery-empty listening use, separate from powered ANC. ACCENTUM Wireless SE, by contrast, is presented as the ACCENTUM Wireless headphone packaged with a BTD 600 Bluetooth USB adapter. The SE page does not show evidence that the headset's ANC or basic playback capability changes. Choose by the exact connection or included accessory you need, not an assumption that “Plus” or “Special Edition” means independently measured better cancellation.
Practical buying checks
Before ordering, match the U.S. Black SKU 700174 or your chosen finish to the listing. Confirm whether the offer is new or certified refurbished, since condition and warranty belong to that offer. If you want wired audio, check that your computer supports USB audio and that its USB port/cable arrangement is suitable; for 3.5 mm audio, this is not the documented version to pick. If two-device Bluetooth switching matters, confirm the manual's one-stream-at-a-time behavior fits your routine. Finally, treat “up to 50 hours” as a planning reference rather than a promise and check the seller's current terms.
