Your needs, this model
Does it fit your priorities?
What is the published ANC-on Bluetooth maximum?
JBL rates Live 670NC for up to 50 hours with Bluetooth and ANC on. Its 65-hour rating is for Bluetooth with ANC off, while the separate 40-hour Bluetooth-off/ANC-on mode is assigned to the wired ANC plan only as an explicit interpretation of JBL's wired-mode diagram.
Explore this need in the finder →Will ANC work over the included cable?
JBL's QSG shows a powered wired-listening state with ANC available. Its product/specification table separately lists up to 40 hours with Bluetooth off and ANC on; the wired mapping is an interpretation, not a separately worded AUX-in rating.
Explore this need in the finder →Can I keep listening after switching the headset off?
The QSG shows wired audio with power off but ANC disabled, supporting passive analog playback. It does not provide a battery-free ANC mode or passive runtime.
Explore this need in the finder →Does multipoint mean the audio from both devices plays together?
No such mixing is claimed. JBL says two Bluetooth devices can stay connected simultaneously so you can switch attention between, for example, tablet audio and a call.
Explore this need in the finder →The JBL Live 670NC's defining distinction is its on-ear fit: the pads rest on the ears, unlike the enclosing cups of the over-ear Live 770NC. For the exact Blue U.S. item JBLLIVE670NCBLUAM, JBL rates Bluetooth music with ANC on at up to 50 hours and ANC off at up to 65. Its quick-start guide also shows powered wired ANC and a power-off passive cable state; the related 40-hour Bluetooth-off/ANC-on specification is interpreted as the wired ANC mode, not a plainly worded AUX-runtime claim.
Blue U.S. finish and on-ear form
JBL's selected Blue product page identifies the item number and describes the Live 670NC as on-ear wireless headphones with True Adaptive Noise Cancelling. The English specification sheet lists Bluetooth 5.3, 40 mm dynamic drivers, 219 g and two beamforming microphones for calls. Those details make this model a different wearing proposition from an over-ear sibling, even if the names appear together in a retail search.
On-ear pads press against the outer ear, which can feel quite different from an over-ear seal. Some listeners prefer the smaller cup footprint; others may prefer their ears enclosed. The listed 219 g mass cannot predict that fit, and this review has not tried the headset or measured comfort, sound, ANC or call quality. If pressure, glasses or ear sensitivity is a concern, prioritize a returnable offer or an in-person fit check rather than relying on a size category.
Three runtime claims, three modes
JBL gives up to 50 hours of music with Bluetooth and ANC enabled, and up to 65 hours with Bluetooth on and ANC disabled. The first is the relevant figure for Bluetooth ANC listening; the longer second figure is a different state, not a reason to expect 65 hours with cancellation active. The U.S. page also describes a five-minute charge adding several hours of playback, while the technical table gives a full-charge estimate of three hours and the QSG says under three hours from empty. Treat all of these as manufacturer figures rather than a forecast for a particular battery.
The model's spec sheet adds up to 40 hours of music with Bluetooth off and ANC on. Its quick-start guide shows that powered wired listening can have ANC available. Together, those details support using the 40-hour figure as the wired ANC arrangement, but JBL does not word the technical row as “AUX music with ANC on.” That mapping is an interpretation disclosed here, and it should not be confused with the explicit 50-hour Bluetooth-plus-ANC rating. None of the three numbers describes power-off listening.
Wired ANC and battery-free listening are distinct
The included detachable cable gives the Live 670NC an analog source route. JBL's wired-mode diagram shows the headset powered on with ANC controls available. It separately depicts power-off listening with ANC disabled and audio still supported. That makes the power-off cable mode a documented passive fallback, but it is not a battery-free ANC mode and JBL does not publish a runtime for passive audio.
That distinction can resolve a practical travel decision. Someone who must have cancellation during wired audio should check a charged, powered headset and accept that the cable-mode runtime is interpreted from the Bluetooth-off specification row. Someone who simply wants sound from a cable after the headset is switched off can treat passive playback as supported, without assuming that it will provide ANC. The original cable should be present and compatible with the source device; an adapter may be needed depending on the source's output.
Two Bluetooth links and app-supported modes
JBL says that two Bluetooth devices can remain connected at once, and gives an example of listening to a tablet while staying available for a phone call. The useful promise is source switching, not simultaneous mixing. The documentation does not say that its 50-hour battery test held both devices connected, so the numeric 50-hour rating is not assigned to the two-link plan.
The product page lists JBL Headphones app support, Smart Ambient, voice assistant access, Auto Play/Pause and spatial sound. The name “True Adaptive ANC” signals a control feature, not proof that the model will cancel a particular person's commute or plane noise. Consider whether you want an on-ear fit and those control options; do not infer that each app mode works in every connection state or is available after power-off.
What current-reference means here
JBL's Blue page was marked sold out on the observation date, so “current-reference” here describes a product still represented in JBL's U.S. product/support material, not retail availability. JBL's support release notes name the Live 670NC and record a software version update dated June 18, 2026. That is a useful confirmation that the model remains distinct in support documentation; it is not a promise of future updates, stock or warranty coverage for any particular unit.
Before buying, check the exact Blue item number, the on-ear fit, charge behavior, included carrying pouch and audio cable, seller condition and return terms. JBL's page lists the package but cannot establish what an individual used seller has. The documented modes make the 670NC versatile on paper, but the 40-hour wired ANC mapping and old battery condition deserve more caution than the clear Bluetooth figures. This is a source-based comparison, not a hands-on verdict.
