Your needs, this model
Does it fit your priorities?
Can I keep a phone and computer connected while using ANC?
The D1406 guide and Space 2 Pro support page document two connected Bluetooth devices, ANC controls and source switching. Switching is manual or automatic in the app; a notification or other playback can trigger an unwanted handoff, and the maker does not publish a separate ANC runtime for dual connection. A support article says dual-device connection can be used in LDAC mode, but the LDAC-plus-multipoint ANC runtime remains unstated.
Explore this need in the finder →Does the published ANC-on rating reach 30 hours?
The manufacturer lists about 30 hours of ANC-on Bluetooth playback using AAC at 50% volume. That satisfies a 30-hour stated minimum but not 31 hours; the separate ANC-plus-LDAC figure is about 20 hours, and no 30-hour figure is assigned to the dual-device or wired ANC arrangements.
Explore this need in the finder →Can ANC stay on over a 3.5 mm cable, and is there a battery-free fallback?
Yes to powered analog ANC: the model guide says to turn the headset on and use the NC button to switch between ANC and Transparency. The support page separately confirms cable playback when the headset is off, but ANC is then unavailable. No wired ANC runtime is published.

The U.S. Jet Black Space 2 Pro is the D1406Z11 version of soundcore's over-ear ANC headphone. It is not the earlier Space One Pro: the latter belongs to the A3062 family and has different operating and runtime details. The Space 2 Pro product page frames this D1406 model around an office-and-call workflow, with Bluetooth, ANC, dual-device connection, app features and a wired 3.5 mm route. That is a more useful starting point than the shared “Space” name or the manufacturer's claims about clear calls and cancellation.
The product page specifies a 35 mm dual-material driver and a six-microphone call system; it describes eight microphones for its adaptive ANC system. Those counts tell a shopper what the maker says it built, not how well the headset will suppress a particular office or how a remote caller will hear a real user. Its 262 g listed weight and cushioned over-ear shape also cannot predict pressure, heat or ear clearance on a particular head. The reported Guinness record and “Thus” branding appear in the manufacturer's promotional artwork; they are not independent test evidence in this assessment.
The official U.S. product data identifies Jet Black as D1406Z11 and Midnight Grey as the separate D1406Z81 finish. The Grey image below is an exact-finish reference, not another performance assessment.

Two connected devices, with a real switching tradeoff
The D1406 manual and Space 2 Pro support pages describe connecting a second Bluetooth device after the first. The app offers automatic and manual switching: automatic mode can hand audio to whichever connected source starts playing, while manual mode asks the listener to pause one source and start the other. This is a way to stay paired to a phone and computer, not a mixer for two audio streams. Soundcore warns that notifications or other background playback can trigger an unwanted switch, that a handoff may take several seconds, and that some meeting apps can lose audio in dual-device mode. A buyer who needs reliable meeting audio should verify the intended host combination and be comfortable disconnecting one device if an app behaves badly.
The support pages say LDAC can operate with multi-device connection, but there is no separately stated battery figure for the combined ANC, LDAC and two-device setup. LDAC is also not compatible with Spatial Audio, and it requires a compatible Android device; iPhones do not support that codec. If the second link is essential, prioritize the supported switching arrangement over a codec label and do not carry the single-device battery result across every combination.
Runtime depends on codec and mode
Soundcore lists about 30 hours of ANC-on playback and 60 hours with ANC off. Its product-specific battery guidance gives more useful context: the ANC figure comes from continuous selected-track playback through an iPhone at 50% volume using AAC, while the ANC-plus-LDAC result is about 20 hours. The same source lists about 55 hours with wearing detection on and 60 with it off in normal mode. These are controlled manufacturer figures, not a promise about daily listening. Louder volume, fit, wireless conditions, calls, spatial effects and other app settings can change the result. The five-minute quick-charge claim is up to eight hours of wireless playback in ANC-off mode; it should not be read as eight hours of ANC-on use.
The manual describes five ANC levels in the app, including an adaptive level, and a separate Transparency mode. It also notes that stronger ANC can feel pressurized to some listeners and that a loose seal can weaken the intended effect. The right practical test is therefore fit and seal under your own return window, not the microphone count or a generic cancellation headline. ANC reduces some background noise; it does not erase every voice, sudden sound or safety warning.
Wired listening has both a powered and a passive state
The D1406 has a 3.5 mm input. Soundcore's model-specific instructions say a cable can play audio while the headset is off; powering the headset on enables the NC button to switch between ANC and Transparency over the cable. The included audio lead is specified as audio-only, and calls are not supported over it. The maker publishes no ANC-on runtime for this powered analog mode. It is also not USB-C audio: soundcore's support page says the USB-C port is for charging, not audio transmission.
This distinction matters if the battery runs out. Powered cable ANC and power-off passive cable playback are separate arrangements; the latter keeps audio available but cannot cancel noise. The source material also notes that a slight electrical hum can occur in powered wired use because of the connected device's grounding. Check the source's analog output and the exact cable in the package before relying on this route for a desk, in-flight entertainment system or wired call setup.
What to confirm before choosing this configuration
On paper, the Space 2 Pro fits a listener who wants an over-ear ANC headset with a phone/computer switch, an analog backup, and more call-processing hardware than a basic music-only model. Its most meaningful qualification is that the maker's battery rating is mode-specific, and the ordinary Bluetooth, LDAC, multipoint, powered-cable and passive-cable arrangements do not share one runtime. The product sources do not establish a measured ANC comparison against another brand, an independent microphone result, fit on your ears, or performance with your meeting software.
Before buying, confirm the exact U.S. model suffix and color: Jet Black is D1406Z11; Midnight Grey is D1406Z81. Check the offer's package contents even though the manual describes the USB-C charging lead and support calls the 3.5 mm lead included; the reviewed manufacturer evidence does not settle whether a pouch is included in every seller bundle. Confirm the seller's return and warranty terms, your computer and phone's Bluetooth behavior, and whether your meeting software handles multipoint as expected. A CPSC query for D1406 returned no recall records in this research cycle, while a broader Soundcore query found a separate speaker recall; that search is not a guarantee about a particular serial number, seller or future notice.
