Your needs, this model
Does it fit your priorities?
Can I keep ANC when I switch to an analog cable?
No. soundcore says ANC is not compatible with the Q30 AUX connection, and the A3028 manual says the cable switches to AUX and turns ANC off.
Explore this need in the finder →Can I keep a phone and computer connected at once?
Yes, the A3028 guide and Q30 FAQ document two-device Bluetooth multipoint. They describe source switching, not a mixer for two audio streams.
Explore this need in the finder →Will wired listening continue when the Q30 is powered off?
The reviewed manual confirms AUX audio but does not state that it plays with the headphone switched off or depleted. Treat passive playback as unknown, not as a confirmed battery-free feature.
Explore this need in the finder →Can I shortlist the Q30 by a 40-hour ANC-on minimum?
Not reliably from the reviewed sources. Official pages and A3028 guide versions list conflicting runtimes, so this assessment does not assign a single ANC-on numeric rating to the Q30.
Explore this need in the finder →Can I use ANC during Bluetooth audio?
Yes. The U.S. Q30 page and A3028 guide document Bluetooth ANC. Battery figures conflict across official pages and manual versions, so this assessment assigns no single ANC-on maximum.
Explore this need in the finder →Can I keep ANC while two Bluetooth devices are connected?
The A3028 guide documents ANC and Dual Connections, while the Q30 FAQ confirms two-device multipoint. This supports ANC with two connected sources, but not mixed streams or a separate runtime figure for that combined mode.
Explore this need in the finder →Can I listen through the Q30 3.5 mm input?
Yes. The A3028 material confirms AUX audio through a 3.5 mm cable, but ANC is not supported over AUX. Power-off passive playback is not established, so check the exact package and do not treat the cable as an ANC or dead-battery guarantee.
Explore this need in the finder →Assessment scope: This is a source-based review of the U.S. Black soundcore Q30, manufacturer model family A3028 and selected SKU A3028013. I did not handle, wear, listen to, measure, or battery-test a Q30. The official U.S. page also identifies Midnight Blue A3028033 and Sakura Pink A3028053. The blue and pink entries are retained as exact finish-only variants; the reviewed sources do not identify a performance or box-content difference by color.

What the A3028 evidence supports
Soundcore’s U.S. page presents the Q30 as an over-ear Bluetooth noise-cancelling headphone and names a hybrid ANC system with three environment profiles: Transport, Outdoor, and Indoor. The labels describe intended use cases—aircraft or road rumble, traffic and wind, and office surroundings—not a controlled ranking of how much noise the Q30 removes. The manufacturer also uses an “up to 95%” low-frequency reduction claim. No independent test protocol or comparable measurement is supplied in the material reviewed here, so the percentage should not be treated as a promise that a particular cabin, voice, alarm, or wearer will be silenced.
The U.S. page lists 40 mm silk drivers, 260 g weight, app EQ and Transparency. Those are useful reference points for comparing specifications, but weight and soft-looking cushions cannot predict long-session comfort or a seal on an individual head. Glasses, hair, ear shape, pad condition and adjustment all affect fit; try the exact headphones if pressure or isolation is decisive.
Bluetooth is the stronger documented route
The A3028 guide describes Bluetooth pairing and two-device Dual Connections. The Q30 FAQ confirms multipoint and names SBC and AAC codecs. That can suit a phone-and-computer routine where you want to switch sources without pairing from scratch. It is a pair of Bluetooth links, not two audio programs mixed together. The exact switching behavior also depends on how the phone, computer and call software handle source changes.
Do not rely on a precise Bluetooth-version label without checking the product or firmware in hand: the U.S. product page’s specification block and the earlier A3028 manual list Bluetooth 5.0, while the current A3028 guide and some product-page feature copy say 5.3. The reviewed U.S. page FAQ consistently identifies SBC and AAC. It does not document a Q30 LDAC mode, so this assessment does not treat the Q30 as an LDAC choice.
Published battery figures do not agree
A simple “hours per charge” comparison is not responsible for this model from the sources reviewed. The earlier A3028 manual lists up to 40 hours with ANC on and 60 hours with ANC off. The current support guide lists 50 and 80 hours. On the current U.S. page, feature copy says 50 hours with noise cancellation and 70 in Standard mode, but the product snapshot and embedded FAQ say 40 hours with ANC on and 60 off; the FAQ specifies 60% volume. The current guide also gives a different quick-charge statement from the product FAQ. The source set does not say which hardware or test revision resolves these differences for the selected A3028013 offer.
That conflict matters more than choosing the most attractive maximum. The fact record leaves both ANC-on and ANC-off runtime unassigned, and the finder does not qualify the Q30 against a numeric ANC-hour minimum. Do not infer an ANC-plus-multipoint duration, expected service life, used-battery condition, or playback time at another volume from any one of the marketing numbers.
AUX is real, but it is not an ANC backup
The A3028 manual and Q30 FAQ document a 3.5 mm AUX lead. Soundcore explicitly says ANC is not compatible with AUX; the earlier manual further says connecting the audio cable switches to AUX and turns Bluetooth and ANC off. Wired operation is therefore an audio fallback, not a way to keep the Q30’s cancellation running from a seat-screen jack. The manual says controls do not work during wired listening, and the FAQ says the supplied AUX lead has no microphone; the connected device’s microphone can handle a call instead.
The sources do not establish whether AUX audio continues when the Q30 is powered off or its battery is depleted. A jack and a cable do not prove battery-free passive playback. If a dead-battery backup is essential, use a model with explicit power-off documentation rather than assuming the Q30 will work. Likewise, because AUX is not an ANC mode, the Q30 should not be selected for an analog-plus-ANC requirement.
Check the exact offer and the right comparison
The manual refers to a provided AUX lead and USB-C charging lead, while the full retail contents and any carry pouch should still be confirmed for the exact seller package. Verify the Black A3028013 identity rather than relying on a color thumbnail, and check return terms if fit, condition or battery age matter. soundcore’s serial-number guide lists A3028 as Life Q30; that identification aid does not establish recall clearance or a used unit’s service eligibility. Two narrow CPSC name queries for A3028 and Life Q30 returned empty results, which is not a blanket safety or serial clearance.
Compare the Q30 with the soundcore Space One assessment only by the documented modes that matter: the Q30 has three named ANC profiles, confirmed multipoint, a 3.5 mm path without ANC, and unresolved runtime figures; Space One has different adaptive/custom ANC and codec evidence. These are not claims of measured ANC superiority. The Q30 is a sensible research candidate if Bluetooth ANC and source switching are the core needs. It is a poor fit for someone who requires ANC on an analog cable, a documented passive power-off mode, a specific Bluetooth revision, or a reliable runtime threshold. No price, current stock, personal fit, or hands-on performance claim is made here.
